As Nigerians continue to discuss the Christmas Day US missiles that hit Jabo in Sokoto State it has been discovered that Ofa, a predominantly Muslim community in Kwara State was equally hit.
An Ofa community leader, Engr Tajudeen Iwalola, President of Ibolo Consumers Advocacy of Nigeria said two places were hit around 10 pm on Thursday.
The places hit by the rockets are Eid ground area and Solidworth Hotel.
“People are now afraid for their lives as they wonder why Ofa should be targeted by the US.”
“There is a crowd at the sites now as people wanted to confirm what they first received as rumour. Some people were even carrying the dangerous shrapnel.”
The Commissioner of police, Kwara Command, Ojo Adekimi has visited the sites but there is no official release on the military action yet.
Ofa is said to be one of the towns on the line of action of the USA’s AFRICON operating from the Gulf of Guinea
