OGITECH Hosts Induction Ceremony for Public Administration Students

Nigeria, Igbesa – The Department of Public Administration at Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, recently held a grand induction ceremony for her students as new members of the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria (CILGPAN).

The event, held on Thursday, 30th October, 2025, at the school premises, marked a significant academic and professional milestone for the inductees, affirming their readiness to contribute meaningfully to governance and public sector administration in Nigeria. Under the leadership of Dr. Abiodun Oluseye as the Rector, the Institution has enhanced her academic activities towards excellence performance and moral dignity.

The Dean, School of Business and Management Studies, Mr. Olalekan Sabitu, speaking on behalf of the Rector, noted that the Polytechnic would not relent in providing adequate resources and welfarism for both staff and students of the Institution.

Dr. Olusegun Olabimtan, Director of Research and Development at CILGPAN, was one of the key dignitaries in attendance. In his keynote address, Dr. Olabimtan commended OGITECH’s efforts in grooming future leaders and emphasised the vital role of local government administration in national development. He encouraged the students to be diligent, ethical, and innovative as they step into the professional world.

A student representative, Aromire Temitope Ganiu, expressed gratitude on behalf of the inductees. He appreciated the department, the institution, and the Chartered Institute for the opportunity, pledging that the students would uphold the values and responsibilities associated with their new professional status.

The induction highlights OGITECH’s commitment to academic excellence, leadership training, and real-world relevance in public administration. The institution’s efforts to groom future leaders and contribute to national development were recognized and commended by the dignitaries in attendance.
