AIG Zone 5 Benin Decorates 2 DCPs, 1 ACP, 4 CSPs, PPRO …Charges them to be equal to the task, responsibilities that comes with promotion

Nigeria – The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 5 Headquarters, Benin City, comprising Delta and Edo State Police Commands, AIG Arungwa Nwazue, psc(+), mni, on Tuesday 17th September, 2024 at the IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu Conference hall decorated newly promoted senior officers with their new ranks amidst cheers from their families, friends and colleagues.

The decoration, which included the elevation of 2 Assistant Commissioners of Police to the substantive rank of Deputy Commissioners of Police, 1 Chief Superintendent of Police to the substantive rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police, 4 Superintendents Of Police to the substantive rank of Chief Superintendents of Police, is a follow-up to the recent promotion approved by the Police Service Commission, PSC, on the recommendation of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM.

Among the officers decorated by the AIG is the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Tijani A. Momoh, who was promoted from the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP to the substantive rank of Superintendent of Police, SP.

The newly decorated officers from the rank of Assistant Commissioners of Police to Deputy Commissioners of Police, as confirmed by SP Momoh, include DCP. Habila Daniel, former Area Commander, Oba Market Area Command, and DCP. Nandiyak Tissing, former Area Commander Ekpoma Area Command.

The ⁠Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 5 Benin, while congratulating the newly promoted officers, according to Momoh, reminded them that with promotion comes greater tasks and responsibilities, and that they should be diligent and equal to the tasks ahead.

“Additionally, the AIG charged the promotees to mentor the junior officers coming after them in the service of our Fatherland.

“In his remarks, DCP Habila Daniel while giving the vote of thanks on behalf of the promotees appreciated God Almighty for the promotion, he said the officers will tighten their belt for higher responsibilities and will continue to work assiduously in the fight against crime and criminality in Nigeria”, Momoh stated.
