Nigeria – A two-day skill acquisition programme, facilitated by the Honourable member representing Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency of Ogun State, Engr. Tunji Akinosi, FNSE, commenced yesterday, August 29, 2024, in Ota.
The training is designed to empower over 100 women and youths across the 16 Wards of Ado-Odo /Ota Federal Constituency.
According to Hon. Akinosi, the training program, which will provide hands-on instruction in the rudiments of soap making, is aims to equip the selected participants with the practical skills needed to venture into the business of producing soaps on a small to medium scale.
Engr. Akinosi, while speaking through his representative at the occasion, Mr. Joel Okeodebija underscored the importance of acquiring practical skills in today’s economy.
While encouraging participants to seize the opportunity as a pathway to financial independence and community development, he revealed that each participant who successfully completes the training will receive a startup grant to support their business.
