Nigeria – The operatives of Edo State Police Command attached to Igbanke Division, in line with its Commissioner, CP Funsho Adegboye, security strategy of getting the state rid of criminal elements has rescued three kidnapped persons.
Confirming the rescue operation, the command spokesperson, SP Chidi Nwabuzor said, on Wednesday 7th February, 2024 at about 1830hrs the DPO Igbanke Division received credible information that hoodlums operating along Ibiri-Igbanke Road emerged from the bush and kidnapped three persons in the bush.
“Immediately, the Police Operatives from Igbanke Division mobilized to the scene and embarked on vigorous bush combing operations and rescued unhurt the victims, Aisivion Michael ‘M’, Edwin Bell ‘M’, and Happy Emiefele ‘M’.
“The CP has given a matching order to all Divisional Police Officers and the tactical teams to go all out and smoke the criminal elements out of the state with emphasis to the principles of Democratic Policing with the fear of God”, Nwabuzor said.
