Nigeria, Ogun State – Ogun West Stakeholders Forum, has lauded Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, for his instrumental role in the upgrading of Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, FPI, to Federal University of Technology.
The Forum, in letter of appreciation sent to Senator Adeola Yayi, the Aremo of Yewaland, signed by its Coordinator, Dr. Yemisi Bamgbose and Secretary, Prof. Jendele Hungbo, said, they received the upgrading news with great joy.
The letter reads: “It was with great joy that we received the news of the signing into law of the bill upgrading the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro to the Federal University of Technology, Ilaro by His Excellency the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“This development, which is a result of the tenacity with which you have pursued the quest for a federal university in Ogun West Senatorial district, has rekindled the hope of the people of Ogun West as it will further enhance development and a social transformation of the area.
“It is in view of this remarkable achievement that we hereby express our profound appreciation to you for spearheading the cause for educational emancipation of Ogun West.
“It is on record, and we take particular note of your historic sponsorship of the bill that led to the conversion of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro to this new University.
“Your sustained efforts, mobilization of fellow federal legislators from Ogun West, Ogun State and indeed the entire country for the passage of the bill at the National Assembly and the eventual signing into law by the President is a remarkable feat for which the people of Ogun West will forever remain grateful.
“But should we be surprised? This new achievement reflects the character of your resonance in various sectors of the lives of the people of our constituency since you came into the political space.
“Once again, we say thank you as we wish you God’s blessings of good health and further attainments in your political sojourn”.
