The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has conferred her prestigious Leadership Award of Excellence on Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, Rector of Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa (OGITECH). The award ceremony took place on Thursday, 9th October, 2025.
NIPR Chairman, Mrs. Oluwaseun Boye, while presenting the award, described Dr. Oluseye’s nomination as a well-deserved recognition for making remarkable leadership achievement in human development and quality administration.
Dr. Oluseye, represented by Deputy Rector Dr. Oluyemi Odutola, expressed gratitude and pledged to continue contributing to education development in Ogun State and building future leaders.
The awardee exceptional leadership and outstanding contributions to education and institutional development earned him this recognition.
With over 25 years of experience in polytechnic administration, Dr. Oluseye has transformed OGITECH into a hub for innovation and excellence under two years as the Rector.
Under his leadership, OGITECH has introduced innovative programmes, including the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF), Robotics and Innovation, and Entrepreneurship education. The establishment of the Robotics and Innovation Center is a testament to Dr. Oluseye’s commitment to equipping students with cutting-edge skills.
Other notable awardees included the Inspector General of Police, Dr. Kayode Egbetoku, and the wife of the former Governor of Ogun State, Her Excellency, Dr. Mrs. Olufunso Amosun, among others.
The event also witnessed the presence of OGITECH Principal Officers and Management Committee members to celebrate Dr. Oluseye’s outstanding leadership.
