Nigeria – The Students of Ogun State Institute of Technology, OGITECH, Igbesa, Ogun State recently gathered to recognize and celebrate exceptional leadership at the institution’s annual Student Awards ceremony.
In a grand display of appreciation, the students bestowed upon the Rector, Dr. Abiodun Babatunde Oluseye , the esteemed “Visionary Rector of the Year” award.
The prestigious honour, according to the Award Committee, is a testament to Dr. Oluseye’s commitment to excellence, innovative, visionary, and transformative leadership, which has significantly impacted the lives of the students and the institution as a whole.
According to them, under Dr. Oluseye’s determined and distinguished leadership, OGITECH has witnessed remarkable growth whose indices include: infrastructural development, academic advancement, enhanced environment for both students and staff.
“The Rector’s dedication to creating a conducive learning environment has fostered a culture of excellence, inspiring students to reach their full potential and aspirations”, the Committee said.
The committee thanked the Rector for: implementing innovative academic programs and research initiatives, enhancing student welfare services and support systems, promoting industry partnerships and collaborations, and demonstrating exceptional mentorship.
While presenting the Award, Comrade Adegbite Peter, who is the Students’ Award Chairman, said, “Today, we celebrate a leader who has selflessly dedicated himself to our growth and success. Your vision has inspired us, and your leadership has empowered us to become the best versions of ourselves”.
The Rector, in his remark expressed gratitude, saying: “This award recognizes not only my efforts but also the collective hard work and resilience of our students, faculty, and staff. I am proud to lead this institution, and pledge to continue working tirelessly toward its advancement”.
