Ogun Commissioner Lauds So-Safe Corps, Inaugurates DCCS

Nigeria, Ogun – The Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) leadership has been commended for its exceptional performance in enhancing community safety across Ogun State.

Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat gave the commendation during the inauguration and decoration ceremony of newly elevated officers at the So-Safe Corps headquarters, Oke-ilewo, Abeokuta, where a Deputy State Commander (DCC) and 2 Deputy Corps Commanders (DCC) were formally installed.

Speaking through the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Rotimiolu Akinlesi, Hamzat attributed the relative peace enjoyed in Ogun State to the Corps’ unwavering commitment and dedication to excellence in service delivery, emphasising the organisation’s vital role in complementing other security agencies in maintaining peace, order, and community safety across board.

Hon. Hamzat while congratulating the promoted officers, revealed that their elevation was merit-based and well-deserved, urging them to justify the confidence reposed in them by both the Corps and the State government.

“Today’s recognition places a higher burden of responsibility on you. You are now entrusted with greater authority and in equal measure, greater accountability. You are expected to leverage your wealth of experience, leadership acumen and professionalism in discharging your duties for the progress of the Corps and the security of our dear State,” Hamzat stated.

The Commissioner assured the Corps of the Ministry’s support, promising necessary oversight to ensure effective operations in line with their mandate while maintaining the highest standards of discipline, efficiency, and integrity.

In his remarks, State Corps Commander, Commander Soji Ganzallo expressed appreciation to the State government for providing the necessary resources for effective operations, commending the elevated officers for their dedication and loyalty, which had earned them recognition.

The Commander charged the officers to bring renewed energy to their respective roles, as well as advance the organization’s mandate of community safety and crime prevention.

Responding on behalf of the inaugurated officers, Deputy State Commander, DCC Moruf Yusuf, acknowledged the strategic leadership of the State Government that had positioned the Corps as a vital component of the State’s security architecture, reaffirming the officers’ loyalty to the So-Safe mission and pledged their meaningful contribution to the safety and security of all residents across the State while continuing to support the Corps leadership.

Officers elevated include, Deputy State Commander, DCC Moruf Yusuf, Deputy Corps Commander of Operations, DCC Adesina Adedamola and Deputy Corps Commander of Intelligence and Investigation, DCC Yemi Odukoya.
