Ogun police nabs wanted cult leader terrorising border residents

Nigeria – Ogun State Police Command operatives have arrested a wanted 35-year-old suspected cultist, Olamilekan Akojede, in Oja-Odan, a border town in Yewa-North local government area of the state.

According to the command’s spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola who confirmed the arrest at the weekend, the suspect, who is a leader of cult gang known as Alora has been on the command’s watch list for some time now.

She added that Akojede, no.1 Alora, known for terrorizing and causing panic in the border community with his gang was picked up at about 1430hrs on Friday, 16th August, 2024 and have been be transferred to the state criminal investigation department, SCID, Elewe-Eran, Abeokuta for discreet investigation.

Odutola reiterated the command’s dedication to eradicating cultism from the state and urged other cult members to borrow a new leaf and change for the betterment of the society.
