Nigeria, Abeokuta — The Ogun State Head of Service has been presented with the Award of Excellence in Professional Representation by the Ogun State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
The award, during the “Owambe Night” celebration, an event marking the conclusion of this year’s activities for Ogun NIPR, held at Event Towers, Kuto, Abeokuta, recognizes his outstanding contributions to public relations and governance, underscoring his reputation as a seasoned PR practitioner and role model.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engineer Noimot Salako-Oyedele praised NIPR’s role in aligning organizational goals with public expectations, emphasizing that public relations is the bridge between institutions and the people they serve.
National President of NIPR, Dr. Ike Neliaku — represented by Council member Mr. Tope Adaramola — alongside Chairman of the Board of the Nigeria Reputation Management Group, Mr. Yomi Badejo‑Okusanya, highlighted the essential functions of public relations, including reputation management, stakeholder engagement, strategic communication, and crisis mitigation.

In a separate statement, the Ogun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) congratulated the Head of Service on this prestigious recognition. NUJ Chairman Mr. Wale Olanrewaju and Secretary Mr. Bunmi Adigun noted that the award not only celebrates personal excellence but also reflects the high standards of public service in Ogun State.
The NUJ affirmed that the Head of Service’s leadership exemplifies integrity, professionalism, and dedication to ethical governance qualities that inspire both colleagues and the broader public sector.
