Oladele felicitates Prof. Rahman Bello on his investiture as the 13th President of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering

Nigeria – An indigene of Yewa and renowned human rights lawyer, Hon. Kayode Oladele has congratulated Prof. Rahman Bello on his investiture as the 13th President of Nigerian Academy of Engineering.

Prof. Bello was unveiled on Thursday, 27th June, 2024, as the new President to succeed the outgoing NAE President, Prof. A.P Onwalu FAEng, (2022-2024) in a colorful ceremony in Lagos.

Until his new appointment, Rahman Bello, a Professor of Chemical Engineering and educational administrator per excellence was a former Ogun State Commissioner for Special Duties, former Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos and currently Pro-Chancellor/ Chairman of Council of the Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode. He is also the Chairman of the Yewa People Development Council, YPDC.

In a press statement, Oladele noted with profound admiration the enviable academic records and proven administrative acumen of Prof. Bello, describing him as “an iconic scholar of impeccable personality, moral rectitude and a proven authority in the field of chemical engineering. He is no doubt, a great and quiet achiever of no mean repute whose remarkable achievements in the field of chemical engineering will continue to inspire present and future generations. Your investiture as the 13th President of the prestigious body of Nigerian Academy of Engineers is in recognition and appreciation of your outstanding contributions to the growth and development of engineering profession as a scholar, teacher and researcher. Your versatility and unblemished track records in the civil service stands you out amongst your peers. I sincerely proud of you, wish you all the strength and pray for God’s guidance as you undertake, yet again, this great national assignment”.
