Oronna Ilaro Festival Grand Finale rescheduled to Sunday, 1st December 2024

Nigeria – The Central Planning Committee of the Oronna Ilaro Festival has announced a change in date for the grand finale of this year’s edition of the festival.

According to a press statement personally signed by the Central Planning Committee Chairman, Otunba (Pharm) Lekan Asuni, the grand finale of the festival has been rescheduled to hold on Sunday 1st December 2024.

Otunba Asuni said; “The 2024 Oronna Ilaro Festival grand finale earlier fixed for Saturday, 30th November 2024, will now hold on Sunday 1st, December 2024 at the same venue, adding that the change in date “is to honor our Distinguished Special Guest of Honour, the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, CON, who will be attending the 2024 Iperu Akesan Day scheduled for the same Saturday, 30th November, 2024 as the Principal host”.

Pharm. Lekan Asuni however announced that other line-up programs of the festival shall be held as scheduled and apologized for any inconveniences the change may cause both local and foreign guests to the event.

“While apologizing for any inconveniences the change in date may cause our numerous guests and other stakeholders, we are pleased to inform the general public that our usual pre-grand finale events, like the 5km Marathon race on Tuesday 26th November; Medical Outreach, Youth Pally with Kabiyesi, Olori Children Day and Masqurades (Gelede/ Egungun
performance on Wednesday 27th November; Colourful Onigba Aje Procession, Local Cuisine cooking competition, POOSU Night on Thursday 28th November; Jumat Thanksgiving, Princes and Princesses Night, Sisi Ilaro Beauty Pageant on Friday 29th November; Football Competition final on Saturday 30th November; Church Thanksgiving at different Churches early Sunday 1st December; will still hold as scheduled”, he stated.

The Chairman appreciates the guests as he looks forward to receiving them.

“We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of our guests as we look forward to welcoming them all to the Asade Agunloye Pavilion for the grand finale of the Oronna Ilaro Festival on Sunday, 1st December 2024”, Otunba Asuni said.
