Nigeria – The Rivers State Police Command in an effort to keep its personnel up to date with advanced policing techniques, organised three weeks Training and Re-training on Tactical Combat Formation, Crowd Control, Advance and Splitting Drill for them.
The state Commissioner of Police, CP Olatunji Rilwan Disu PSC, today, Thursday, 1st February 2024, visited the officers to round up the program.
Speaking to the press at the Isaac Boro park, the training centre, CP Disu said, the training program aims to refresh and familiarise Police Officers with advanced techniques used to disperse violent rioters and crowd control.
He stated further that, another importance of keeping police personnel up to date with advanced policing techniques is to help them attain the goal of achieving professionalism.
