The Rotary South District 1145 United Kingdom has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Alhaja Fadilat Anike Salako, mother of Nigeria Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr Iziaq Adekunle Salako, who died on 5th March, 2025 at the age of 95 years.
The Club, in a statement signed by its District Governor, Olatunji Olaleye while extending heartfelt condolences to the grieving family of Salako, said, “Mama lived a well life and left behind highly accomplished sons and daughters, like Nigeria Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare.
“Mama lived life as a mother and person of deep faith in Almighty Allah.
“We mourn her passing, but we draw consolation from the teaching of Islam that Inalilahi wainalilahi rajiun”.
“We pray Aljana firdius for Mama”.
