Old School mates, friends and family of Yemi Akintunde planned a big surprise bash for him on the day.
He was surprised by the gesture bestowed on him by his admirers who have speared no effort in paying him in his own coin on his 60th birthday and official retirement from public service.
Yemi, who is a master strategist and expert in planning surprises and honouring people, was paid back with surprise glamorous birthday and retirement bash.
His mates, in the IMACOGOLD, Imala Community Grammar School Old Students Association, which he pioneered as National President in conjunction with family and friends, used the surprise party to appreciate and celebrate the impactful demeanor of Yemi Akintunde to humanity.
National President of his Alma mater, Pastor Sunday Odebo, Dr Yemisi Bamgbose, the Executive Secretary of Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria, BON, and Mr Ademola Oladosu, Deputy Director News NTA (Retired) described him as a blessing to humanity and one of the brightest minds around.
The celebrant, while speaking expresses gratitude to God, his family and friends for celebrating him, adding that his retirement will launch him into a new chapter and new phase where he will continue to give his best to the development of the society.
Presentation of gifts and cutting of the birthday cake were part of the highlights of the event.
