President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Engineer Musa Nimrod has been awarded the Best Performing Federation President by Sports Legendary Awards.

Nimrod dedicated the award to the players, coaches, sports administrators and the volleyball community.

In his acceptance speech, Nimrod spoke passionately about the volleyball community. “This award is not just for me,” he declared.

“The award belongs to the players who sacrifice their time and effort, to the coaches who inspire and develop talent, and to every supporter who believes in the power of volleyball. I want to thank the volleyball community (players and stakeholders) for their calls and messages since the news broke.”

The Secretary General of Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) Zone 3 recounted the federation’s journey—the struggles, the setbacks, and the triumphs.

He said, “Under my leadership, the federation had launched initiatives to enhance youth participation, improve coaching standards, and secure funding for local tournaments. Each achievement is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the volleyball family.

Nimrod’s words resonated deeply, igniting a renewed sense of purpose among the volleyball community.

He vowed to continue advocating for volleyball in Nigeria, ensuring that the sport not only thrived but also inspired future generations.
