The Yewa Descendants Union UK & Ireland (YDU UK&Ireland) with headquarters in London, has commenced preparations to host this year Yewa Festival in London, under the auspices of HRM, Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle MFR, the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland.
According to the Union President, Mr. Kayode Amosu, President, in a chat with ProwlingEagles, this year event, which have been slated for September 14th will feature very interesting activities, ranging from culture, tradition, commerce and entertainment among others.
Mr. Amosu assured members of YDU UK&Ireland and their guests of exciting moment throughout the celebrations.
He called on all sons and daughters of Yewa at home and the diaspora to give their unflinching supports towards the success of the programme.
Amosu stated further that the festival, aside from promoting culture and tradition of Yewa people in the foreign land, it’s also aimed at bringing together the Yewans in the diaspora, with a view to discuss and chart new course for the socio-economic development of Yewaland.
