Yewa South LG gets a fresh start as Barrister Ogunsola swears in Councillors

Nigeria – Yewa South Local Government in Ogun State today, Tuesday 26th November, 2024 begins a new journey with the swearing-in of newly elected councilors.

The ceremony, which took place at the legislative chamber, marked a significant milestone in the local government’s political landscape.

Barrister Abraham Ogunsola, the Executive Chairman of the Local Government was elated as Chief Magistrate Araba administered the oath of office to the new councilors.

After the swearing-in, Councillor. Oluwaseun Adekanbi emerged as the new Leader of the 9th legislative House.

In his remarks, Barrister Ogunsola thanked the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his support during and after the election.

He urged the new councilors to work harmoniously with the executive arm to bring about positive changes and progress in Yewa South.

The swearing-in ceremony was a grand success, with a plethora of dignitaries in attendance.

Notable guests included the occasion including, Vice Chairman Hon. Bankole Sherif, HOLGA Mr. Fateru Oluwole, and former chairman of the LG, Prince Jimoh Ishola Akinlade and former Vice Chairman Alhaja Musilat.

Other esteemed guests included, Hon. Adenle, APC Party Chairman; Hon. Salako, Party Secretary; Mrs. Abosede Odesanmi, Local Government Woman Leader; Chief Ogundimu, Alhaji Sanusi, Alhaji Asiriabo, Engr. Akintomide, Captain Oke, Chief Tunji Idowu, Hon. Dada, Mrs. Nike Akinlade and wife of the chairman.
